I quit my job as an engineer the week after losing my father. I was two years out of college - having just worked my ass off for 7 years to get the best big boy job I could get. I was making more money than I ever had, but was the most miserable I'd ever been.

When he was sick I asked him what was left that he wanted to do. Where did he want to go before he died - anywhere - we'd find a way to make it happen.

"I already did what I wanted to do, I went where I wanted to go, I got to dive every day. I had my adventures. I'm good."

Seeing him at the end made me look at my own life - coding all day at a standing desk in the corner of my bedroom - there was no way I'd be able to say the same thing if things kept going this way.

My dad left us so many stories to tell. And it wasn’t luck. It was the choices he made to take risks and live an adventurous life, chasing what he truly wanted while he was here.

My life now, what this brand represents, is my way of making the same choice.
